Welcome to World Vision
Resources
Why
these resources?
Ending global poverty and injustice begins with education:
recognizing the extent and causes of poverty, its comprehending its effect on human
dignity, and realizing our connection with those in need around the world.
Who
we are
World Vision Resources is the publishing ministry of World Vision, a
Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to helping children,
families, and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by
tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
What
we do
World Vision Resources educates Christians about global poverty,
inspires them to social justice, and equips them with innovative resources to
make a difference in the world.
Our
promise to you
>> Your contribution
will help World Vision equip educators, church
leaders, and parents with resources that teach believers about

global
citizens. We promise to honor your generosity and use your donation in
the most effective way possible. Your gift is tax deductible,
excluding shipping and
handling charges and the fair market value of goods received.

Laurie
Delgatto
As the Senior Editor for Books and Educational Publishing, Laurie
Delgatto finds new resources for World Vision to publish, and makes
sure that they come together from concept to finished
product. She brings to her position a love of the written
word, ministry, young people, and the call for justice. She
has experience as a writer, editor, educator and church minister.
Before joining World Vision, she was on the editorial staff of Saint
Mary’s Press, and served in the field of youth ministry for
more than two decades. She is a published author and has experience
working with ministry leaders and educators across the
country. Recently Laurie has become addicted to watching her
nephews’ Little League games.
Meet
Milana McLead
Having
published a newspaper (of sorts) in the sixth grade, Milana has
had ink in her veins for quite a long time. It was natural, then, that
she would seek her bachelor’s degree in magazine publishing
from the University of South Florida, followed up by a career as a
magazine editor/publisher/creative director. Prior to joining World
Vision, Milana stood at the editorial helm of a variety of
publications, including a housing guide to Florida’s Gulf
Coast, a monthly business magazine, a travel publication, and a weekly
newspaper for Florida Canadians (seriously!), among others. She also
spent several years at Habitat for Humanity, transforming its newspaper
into an award-winning magazine that mailed bimonthly to 2 million
donors and supporters.
A life-long Southerner (well, Florida isn't really the South, though
Georgia surely is), Milana still wears a leather jacket in the summer
and an Irish wool coat in the winter out here in the land of evergreens
and frosty temperatures. Since moving to the area with her husband,
Doug, in 2004, Milana’s formerly brown thumb has turned
green, and she takes great joy in growing flowers, basil, and tomatoes.
Meet
Jojo Palmer
When
you order from World Vision Resources, Jojo Palmer will make sure
you receive excellent customer care. A 23-year veteran at World Vision,
Jojo keeps our marketing and distribution department running. She can
answer your questions, troubleshoot your order, or advise you on the
right resources to fit your needs. She’s also a busy mother
of two—great at multitasking.
Jojo is married to Doug and has two children: Darnel, 7, and
Chloe’, 5. Her pride in life is her family. She’s
one of 12 kids (Dad said it was cheaper by the dozen…not
sure
if he got that one right!). She serves at her church, cooking for needy families in the community. She enjoys any
outside sport, especially if it includes sand, waves, and sun.
Meet
Jane Sutton-Redner
As Editor-in-Chief of publications, Jane provides editorial oversight to World Vision Resources projects. On staff at World Vision for 16 years, Jane brings organizational knowledge, firsthand understanding of ministry work, degrees in English and journalism, and a copyeditor’s eye to these educational resources. From her background in magazines she contributes expertise in packaging editorial content for visual appeal, working collaboratively with writers, photographers, and designers. Outside of work, Jane is married, a mother to a toddler, and an avid reader.
